Iran has officially announced the death of Supreme Spiritual Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

He was 86 years old. He was killed in a morning missile strike on 28 February 2026, along with some of his family members and staff. In total, 30 different types of munitions were dropped on his residence.

It is clear that the murder of the leader was intended to lead to disorganization of power, but this has not been observed. There are no signs of any serious weakening in Iran’s leadership yet.

Iran has begun and continues to strike the aggressor with undiminished intensity. The streets of cities across the country are filled with huge numbers of angry government supporters.
