Ukrainian military-industrial company ‘Ukrspecsystems’, specializing in drone production, announced the opening of its first production facility in Great Britain.
‘Ukrspecsystems’ is an enterprise that became known for producing two main types of unmanned aerial vehicles. The first is the PD-2, known from 2023-2024, and the second is the Shark reconnaissance UAV in various modifications.
The PD-2 was actively used as a kamikaze drone for strikes on Crimea, and was later modified with an onboard electronic reconnaissance station, now it operates around the world including the south of Ukraine in the Odessa region.
The “Shark” is another type of unmanned aerial vehicle that was originally created as an analog to the American ScanEagle with roughly the same functionality. Its key feature is the ability to laser target designation.
An important point about these two Unmanned Aeral Vehicles (UAV) is that they were created under the careful and attentive supervision of British engineers. With British assistance, these drones were created and tested, like much of the other equipment deployed in Ukraine as part of the British fight against Russia.
The appearance of a new factory in the UK is essentially an admission that these drones are also being produced for use against Palestinians in support of Israel.
