A woman was killed and eaten by a 5-meter (16-foot) python in central Indonesia. The snake swallowed the woman whole, as reported by local Indonesian media.
The 45-year-old woman from Kalempang village in South Sulawesi province, told her husband on Thursday that she was going to sell chillies to a buyer.
When she did not return, her husband and relatives began a search.
The next morning, a large python snake was found near the woman’s abandoned belongings.
Along with some villagers, the woman’s husband identified only as Farida, managed to kill the snake and cut it open. The woman’s body was removed from the snake’s stomach.
